How Does SMP Work?
SMP uses special pigmentation and permanent makeup equipment to create the illusion of a closely clipped look on your scalp. The aim of the technique is to give you the hairline you want or give your hair a more ‘full’ look.
SMP is performed by trained practitioners, and it is recommended that you have a consultation before you start your first session. During the session, your SMP practitioner will make small incisions in your scalp where the pigment will be inserted via a micro-needle. This is done all over your scalp, in order to achieve the look you decided on during your consultation.
What Should I Expect From This Procedure?
After getting the treatment, there is not much required in terms of maintenance except some basic instructions that you should follow. The pigments ‘lighten’ over time, which is why multiple sessions and touch ups over the years are needed.
