Helios Klinikum Berlin-Buch

Opened in 2007, the HELIOS Clinic Berlin-Buch is one of the newest hospitals in the HELIOS network of medical centers that combines high-level care with maximum comfort. This large, state-of-the-art facility has over 1,000 beds, 20 operating rooms, 25 specialty departments and six research institutes. The centre is known for its interdisciplinary care, most notably in the Breast Centre, the Bowel Centre, the Perinatal Centre, the Stroke Unit and the Chest Pain Unit, treating the whole patient across a variety of medical specialties. The German Cancer Society has recognized HELIOS Clinic Berlin-Buch as a certified oncological treatment because of its complex treatments for prostate, bone and other cancers. Comprehensive diagnosis and treatment is also available at the Specialized Centre for Diabetes Care, which is certified by the German Diabetes Association. A helicopter landing pad allows badly injured patients from all over the region to receive care at the clinic's extensive emergency care centre. The Level 1 Perinatal Centre provides comprehensive care for pre-term infants. The large campus also provides treatment on an outpatient basis.
